Bob Grace

Fox 4 Interview

Robert Grace appears frequently
in a number of publications and
on key financial websites.

Robert E. Grace, JD, CLU, ChFC, CFEd®, RFC
Master Elite IRA Advisor ®
Founder and President

Mr. Grace has over forty years of experience providing estate, retirement and tax planning for individuals and companies. With specialized training by nationally acclaimed financial expert, Ed Slott, CPA, Bob is a member of Mr. Slott’s “Master Elite IRA Advisor®” group. As the practice has expanded, Bob has made sure that Grace Advisory Group remains committed to helping individuals establish sophisticated, yet easy to understand, solutions for protecting and preserving wealth while minimizing tax exposure. Bob’s training and experience place him among our country’s leading retirement planning experts.Bob worked as a financial planner for a number of years before pursuing a law degree. As a practicing estate planning attorney in the State of Ohio, he specialized in family wealth transfer and tax planning. He expanded upon his experience working with brokers’ clients in two of the nation’s major national financial corporations.

Again in 2012, Gulfshore Life recognized Bob as a “FIVE STAR Wealth Manager: Best in Client Satisfaction SM.” The distinction is only awarded to wealth managers who have scored highest in client-based research conducted by a national, independent research company under the direction of Crescendo Business Services. A maximum of seven percent of financial professionals in any market area receive this prestigious award. Financial professionals are not able to “buy” their way onto the list, and the distinction is not based on sales volume but on how consumers have evaluated their experience in working with that individual. Fort Myers News-Press readers named Grace Advisory Group “Best Income & Retirement Planners” in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Each Saturday and Sunday, Bob hosts his hour-long radio show, “Retire with Grace”. The program reaches much of Florida, as it airs on radio stations from The Villages to Marco Island.

Bob and his wife Rose enjoy an active Florida lifestyle as year-round Fort Myers residents. They spend quality time golfing and yachting. Bob is an active member of the Gulf Harbour Yacht and Country Club..

Robert Grace: The Right Architect For Your Retirement Plan

Bob likens himself to an architect. But instead of building houses, he’s helping clients design a retirement plan that is guaranteed to last as long as they do. Retirement by design.

Jennifer Lahaie
Financial Advisor
Naples Office

Born and raised in northern Michigan. Jennifer and her husband, Eric, relocated to Southwest Florida in 1995, drawn by the beautiful beaches, warm weather and business growth potential of the area.In Financial Services for the last twenty years, Jennifer was involved in all aspects of the mortgage and title business. From her start as a Title Closer, handling residential and commercial closings, she went on to become a licensed title examiner and managed a title office for several years before transitioning into mortgage lending. In 1999 she opened a mortgage lending business, which she grew over a 10-year period to 5 offices and 40 employees.

Finally, regulatory changes became all-consuming. Instead of spending her time doing what she loved—helping clients accomplish their Investment Goals through Homeownership—her time was spent with mountains of paperwork and compliance nightmares. After much contemplation, Jennifer knew the time had come for her to switch her career direction and decided to focus on another sector of Financial Services—Retirement and Tax Planning.

Jennifer is a goal oriented individual who has always been passionate about helping others implement a plan to accomplish their goals. The opportunity to join Grace Advisory Group was appealing to Jennifer because the company’s very mission is to help people in this manner. Says Jennifer, joining Grace allows her: “Great joy, in knowing I have helped people retire with security and peace of mind.”

Jennifer, her husband and their two daughters, Haley (11) and Mallory (9), live in Fort Myers. In her time out of the office, Jennifer loves to be on the go, enjoying time with family & friends, camping, traveling, hiking, working out, gardening and also is a very active volunteer in the community. She has been involved with the Greater Fort Myers Chamber – Women in Business Committee, Blessings in a Back Pack, the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association, as well as several other community and professional groups.

Eric Lahaie

Eric Lahaie
Financial Advisor
Naples Office

Like his wife and fellow Grace Advisory Group Financial Advisor, Jennifer Lahaie, Eric was born and raised in northern Michigan. Eric’s hometown is Rogers City, Michigan, located in the North East part of the Lower Peninsula on Lake Huron. Not surprisingly for a native of the automotive capital, Eric graduated from Ferris State University with an Applied Science Degree in General Motors Automotive Technology in 1993. The allure of living in “sunny paradise” after 25 years of Northern Michigan’s long, bitter cold winters & short summers made the decision to move to SW Florida very easy for the Lahaies. They made the move in 1995.

After 15 in the automotive industry, Eric moved into commercial real estate and residential lending. During that time, he was a Member of CIP (Commercial Investment Professionals) of SWFL from 2004 – 2008, serving as a Board Member for four years and as President in 2008. He also served as a Board Member of the Real Estate Investment Society, was a member of the Greater Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach Realtor Association and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member.

In 2011, Eric decided to apply the knowledge he gained in finance and investments to insurance. After obtaining his insurance license and undergoing extensive training, Eric joined Grace Advisory Group.

Eric and Jennifer live in Fort Myers where they are raising their Florida native daughters, Haley and Mallory. Committed to the local community, Eric has served as a Mentor for YES (Youth Educational System) and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and Blessings in a Backpack.

In his spare time, Eric enjoys spending time with his family traveling/RV’ing, days at the beach, campfires, hiking in the mountains, and they raise chickens! His other interests include music/playing guitar, health & fitness, playing cards, hunting, golf, football and riding a motorcycle. Eric is also a Certified 1st Class Personal Fitness Trainer through the National Federation of Professional Trainers.

In discussing his role at Grace, Eric says, “Working with Grace provides an opportunity to use my knowledge & experience in leadership, business, finance & investing, coupled with my natural instinct to help others, to educate & motivate people to make wise financial choices that help them realize their financial goals.”

Marilyn was born and raised in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.  Her family began “migrating” to Florida in 2001 and within a few years she was the only one left in Massachusetts.  She realized that visiting over the holidays was not enough – she was missing important family moments and especially watching her nieces grow up.  When the financial world began to change, she decided there was no better time to make the move and followed her family to Florida in 2009.

Marilyn has worked in Financial Services for twenty years. During her eleven years at Fidelity Bank in Central Massachusetts she was Assistant Vice President of Residential Lending and then Vice President, Client Relationship Manager in Insurance, Annuity and Investment Services.

Marilyn is also a graduate of the College for Financial Planning, Denver, CO and has completed the Certified Financial Planner Education Program.

In her spare time, Marilyn enjoys time with her family, fitness, walking, hiking and reading.  Her entire family now lives within a few miles of each other and she treasures the time they can spend together.  Says Marilyn, “My Mom is still my very best friend and now we can visit and connect all the time.  I love that I am no longer the “Phantom Aunt” who swoops in with presents at Christmas.  I am now an integral part of my nieces’ lives.  It is also a blessing to spend time with my 90 year-old Grandmother.  It is such a treat to visit and take her to lunch and shopping like she used to do for me as a child.”

When talking about what drew her to Grace Advisory Group, Marilyn says: “The most personally rewarding aspect of my career has always been developing a level of personal trust and providing peace of mind to my Clients …having a sense of community and family is very important in my work. The opportunity to join Grace Advisory Group feels like coming “Home” to me.  The positive team environment and ethical standards at Grace Advisory are exceptional.  Having access to our experts and tremendous resources allows me to work with the top professionals in our field and provide the best possible solutions for my clients.”

Brian Holbrook
Financial Advisor

Brian was born in Virginia and raised in West Virginia where he and his two brothers enjoyed their adventures in the woods, rivers and snow. Two years ago, Brian, his wife Katy, and their three children (sons ages 16 and 12, and daughter age 10) moved to Apopka, Florida. The move was prompted by the desire to be closer to his father and also to raise their kids near the beach and the great opportunities that Orlando has to offer.

Studying business at Shepherd and Liberty Universities and watching his dad’s financial services career with Axa/Equitable helped Brian to choose this career path. He has been a financial advisor for 16 years and has been working with many facets of the industry, including the sale of securities, money management and most recently guaranteed income planning.

Prior to entering the financial services field, Brian worked with Marketplace Ministries as an ordained minister. His ministerial responsibilities included working with large companies and counseling employees and their families on many personal issues that often included financial needs and concerns.

In his spare time, Brian enjoys spending time with family, baseball, golfing and writing and, of course, they love the Florida beaches. He also has worked with a number of non-profit organizations, supporting them individually as well as helping them with community fund-raising initiatives.

When asked why he joined Grace Advisory Group he said, “I know from working with very wealthy individuals—as well as those living on Social Security—that Guaranteed Income Planning is the most vital part of their financial plan today. Grace Advisory Group does Guaranteed Income Planning better than anyone and with the team approach of financial, legal and accounting, people get an honest answer and someone to talk to when they need it.”
